plz. ignore the patch for now.

I realized that, while the implemented 'hide'-functionality actually
suppresses the display of the shortcut hints just fine, mouse clicks on
the other shortcuts text, will trigger the function that had been
displayed at that spot originally, w/o any active hiding.

I'm currently fixing the issue and will submit a new patch when done.
