Hi Jerry, Nobody who works on a
network program can says that his program doesn’t have any security bug.
Even program like SSH had some security problem at his start and they always
found (very rarely) some little problem. NeL is quite a young project
and it’s possible that there’s some security problem. But NeL is Free Software
that it means that anybody can read the code, look at for the problem and fix it
without asking Nevrax. Vianney Lecroart -----Original Message----- I just read about a security
hole in unreal’s game engine that lets hackers
take over machines. This is not the medium-level security problem found before.
It’s bad because a lot of games license their engine. Here’s a link
to the story: http://abcnews.go.com/sections/scitech/TechTV/techtv_unreal_sec_risk030212.html
I don’t have any more
details. Just thought I’d raise the issue so somebody can look into it
and say “NeL doesn’t have that problem”. Jerry Shaw Terran
