ok, just launch 

- gdb rpm
- in gdb: run -ivh /distro/redhat/7.3/en/i386/RedHat/RPMS/gd-1.8.4-4.i386
The program will segfault, then type "bt" and send me the output.

The output of ltrace (not strace) will be useful too.
