I'm not sure if i understand it, but globally i think that the simplest and"
more elastic way to do it is something like this

.- Octal core should provide a way to store chunks of data inside the song
file
.- this chunks must be defined, at most as an unique ID, a name , a related
machine identifier, a related machine version and the chunk itself
.- its up to the machine developer how the chunk data is interpreted,
.- if some chunk format become popular (ie unsigned raw sample data, with no
header) this could be standarised in the octal core or in an asociated .so
 thinking in some kind of standard evolving library
