Follow-up Comment #17, bug #29474 (project octave):
On Fedora 13, I found that upon any imread invocation, GraphicsMagick-1.3.12
hit the semaphore bug shown below and caused an octave-core dump.
octave-3.2.3 and GraphicsMagick-1.3.7 work together on both Fedora 13 and
Fedora 12. As far as I can tell, octave-3.2.4 and GraphicsMagick-1.3.12 are
unusable together. octave-3.2.4 also does not work with
GraphicsMagick-1.3.7 on Fedora 12.
Summary: I recommend Fedora 12 and 13 users to version-pin on octave-3.2.3
and GraphicsMagick-1.3.7.
I'd be happy to send more diagnostics if anyone wants them, but the problem
is 100% reproducible.
