Follow-up Comment #1, bug #30165 (project octave):
The number in the prompt is the command number. Starting from 1 and counting
up for each command in the current session. Maybe the relevant paragraph can
be rewritten so that it is clear how the prompt works.
Well, this just begs the question, which I don't know the answer to: How does
one use the command number?
