Carnë, I committed your patches.  I also applied another one on top to change
the period detection to be a period followed by a character in the space class
([\n \t]).  This correctly detects things like ellipses ("...") or the id est
construction ("i.e.,").


Examples:

< Load the named variables V1, V2, .
---
> Load the named variables V1, V2, ..., from the file FILE.

< Return true if X is a numeric object, i.e.
---
> Return true if X is a numeric object, i.e., an integer, real, or
> complex array.
