URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?40349> Summary: prod() function needs "native" option like sum() Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: rik5 Submitted on: Tue 22 Oct 2013 10:23:17 AM PDT Category: Octave Function Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Matlab Compatibility Status: Confirmed Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: The prod() function should have a "native" option like sum() where all calculations are carried out in the type of the input. I found this when executing prod() with an int64 class entry. Matlab already supports this and Octave supports "native" for the sum() function so there is existing code to draw inspiration from. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?40349> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
