Details:
Using the Octave CLI:
Jan 02 15:33 ~ % octave --quiet
octave:1> x=rand(1,100);
octave:2> hist(x)
panic: Segmentation fault -- stopping myself...
attempting to save variables to 'octave-workspace'...
save to 'octave-workspace' complete
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Jan 02 15:34 ~ %
Am able to plot with graphics_toolkit("gnuplot"), but not fltk
Octave 3.8.0 build from source:
Ubuntu 12.04
LLVM 3.8
Mesa 8.0.4
FLTK 1.3
java-6-openjdk-amd64
qt4
./configure output attached
