sorry for the delay.
Thank you for the patch.
I have added the functions for the windows terminal, too. But I could not test
them because I have trouble to make an mxe-build from the gui-release branch
(this is also the reason for the delay). Therefore the code in these functions
is commented out for the moment and the buffer size from the settings only
affects the unix terminal.
I leave this bug report open and change the os to windows.
