Follow-up Comment #23, bug #40064 (project octave): I see what Glenn is seeing with 3.8.1. Moreover, I tried setting each of the default interpreter properties independently to "none" in separate Octave sessions, and the only one that affects the way the legend label is rendered is the "defaultlineinterpreter" property.
