Follow-up Comment #1:
Thanks for your bug report. Where did you get signal-1.3.0.tar.gz from? The
error message is suggesting that it is not a valid package tar file. Can you
try downloading again, or use "pkg install -forge signal" instead?
This is not limited to the GUI, right? IOW, you're not saying that you can
install the package in command-line mode but not in the GUI, correct?
