Follow-up Comment #19, bug #43319 (project octave): How about something like this (attached) The --enable-stable (and --disable-stable) was allowing selection between the offical stable, and the source on the alpha site. I have changed it to --enable-octave=xxxxxx where xxxx=alpha, stable or default (no value given defaults to stable) The alpha and stable are the using teh sources that they already were. default is the default sources from comment 18.
