Follow-up Comment #9, bug #43495 (project octave):
Well I spoke too soon - to be able to test Octave on Linux with --enable-64
the entire dependency chain has to be rebuilt (using mxe), see bug #43319
comment #19.
That'll take too much time ATM. Maybe maybe later this weekend.
