Follow-up Comment #3, bug #45088 (project octave):
Oops, problem with the verbatim line.
(there should be an option to view the comment before submitting it)
The error message is from the line
idx {k} = (even (k)+1):size (I, k);
even has size of 2, but k goes from 1 to 3.
It seeme that there is a confusion between the dimensions of
the domain matrix, and the dimensions of the image matrix.
The same problem (and the same solution?) in stdfilt.m
