Follow-up Comment #12, bug #45396 (project octave): Instead of <pre>...</pre>, I've tried news.prepend ("<![CDATA["); news.append ("]]>"); and news.prepend ("<script><![CDATA["); news.append ("]]></script>"); in the Qt interpreter. Neither seem to work. The former prints out the <![CDATA[ text and the latter produces a blank page.
