Follow-up Comment #1, bug #50692 (project octave):
I tried your examples in Octave-4.3.0+ (dev version) but I cannot reproduce
your issues.
The sort of problems you describe are often fairly hard to reproduce anyway.
Windows 10 with all its silent if not stealth updates / upgrades is a bit of a
moving target - that already broke some of my hardware drivers (reason for me
to stick with Win 7 as much as I can).
Have you tried re-installing Octave?
Did you have any OF packages loaded (using the "pkg load <list of packages>"
command?
Have you experimented with showing / hiding panes?
(sorry for all those questions but you seem to be able to reproduce, so you're
the one best suited to discover some sort of pattern or consistent behavior)
