Follow-up Comment #4, bug #45220 (project octave):
This is my first time using Octave. I seem to have encountered the same bug in
64bit Octave 4.2.1 on a 64bit Win7-Pro machine with an AMD Radeon HD7950
graphics card except at a larger command window size. I'm using a 4K monitor
and when the command window X*Y pixel area count exceeds ~3,123,000, I get the
bizarre/flashing characters. Both 1792*1743 and 2484*1257 are very close to
the working limits in X,Y dimensions. Fresh info below...
Adjusting the history buffer size in Preferences|Settings|Terminal from
default 1000 to 2000 makes no difference. Changing the font size from
Courier_New 10pt to 12pt does make a difference. With 12pt, the new area
working limit is 2484*1664 (4,133,376 pixels).
Best Regards,
Al
