Follow-up Comment #23, bug #39257 (project octave):
Hello,
I am a developer of Manopt (a Matlab toolbox for optimization on manifolds)
and have been tracking the status of nested function handles in Octave since
2014. At this point, lack of this feature is the only reason why Manopt is not
compatible with Octave. I am sure there are other Matlab packages in the same
situation. I am posting this comment here in case it can serve as further
motivation for the people who are working hard on bringing this complex
feature to Octave.
