Follow-up Comment #21, bug #49119 (project octave): With cset http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/a7ee69d23f32, I have added a gui preference for opening closed files if a breakpoint or a debug pointer is set. Regardless this preference, clearing a breakpoint never opens closed files. I hope this meets most of the expectations that were mentioned during the discussion on the behavior of the editor during debugging from the console window.
