Follow-up Comment #7, bug #55033 (project octave):

Yes, I meant --enable-link-all-dependencies.

No, they are not valid after installing Octave, that's what I understand is
the intended difference between OCT_LINK_DEPS (for building oct files in-tree)
and MKOCTFILE_OCT_LINK_DEPS (for building oct files with mkoctfile). If these
two variables have the same value, then that's probably where to start.
