Follow-up Comment #6, bug #56196 (project octave):

As expected.  The code path for sparse matrices is different than that of
full, and only the sparse implementation seems to have problems.

It is possible this has already been fixed on the development branch since
Philip reports no problems.

@Philip: Is there a way to publish one of your Octave 6.0 MXE builds so the
original reporter could download and test?
