Follow-up Comment #15:
Chnagest http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/410622ac120f fixes this
by using temporary files. Sourcing and removing the temp. file does not show
up in the console or in the history but the commands selected in the editor
do.
