Follow-up Comment #61, bug #51632 (project octave): @JohnD: Thanks, another step to a more easily usable Octave (e.g., on thumb drives). Can the "pkg rebuild" step during installation be made dependent on the Octave release? (just guessing: you probably looked at that.) Otherwise it's no big deal, it takes only one or two seconds, much shorter than (what I guess is) rebuilding the font cache.
