Follow-up Comment #16, bug #57353 (project octave): I guess: Two independent problems. I have merged Rik's patch to a somewhat older stable version i had on hand. The problem forced in test_patch.m seems to be solved. I can not create the segfault with Rik's patch applied. But i also still get a segfault when loading big stl data. LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 does not show any difference.
