Follow-up Comment #15, bug #57044 (project octave):

Good idea Markus (comment #14, file #48103).  Using an extra file makes much
clearer, what the gnulib-revision actually is.

One assertion regarding the configure script.  When configuring a released
distribution tarball of Octave, do I always have to add
"--without-gnulib-rev-check" with your patch?
