@Ich selber: Please stay friendly in the Octave community. Rik is not joking
and gave you a practical guidelines for free in both bug reports and not a
single "thanks" from your side 🤔 If you have trouble following Rik's
suggestions, ask for further advise.
Fact is: Octave does not support webP, neither Maltab is interest in this
format so far. Thus it is a super low priority project. I think there are
many more interesting formats out there with overwhelming performance, neither
supported by Octave or Matlab.
