Follow-up Comment #3, bug #59156 (project octave): The attached patch streamlines the code like suggested by Rik in comment #2. But I kept `isunix` before `ispc`. I'm not sure which is the correct order for cygwin. But IIUC, it is more Unix-y than it is Windows-y... @Carlo or anyone running Octave on MacOS: Could you please run `status = system ("lldb --version")` in Octave and check if that returns "0" immediately?
