Follow-up Comment #4, bug #59172 (project octave):
I realize that I had to build a 64-bit arpack-ng as well as other fortran
libraries. I have done so following
https://gitlab.com/mtmiller/octave-blas64-builder.
To follow my steps. I built lapack, arpack, qrupdate and suitesparse as
64-bit. Then I installed the libraries and built octave. My build command
for octave was ...
../configure --prefix=/opt/octave --config-cache
--with-blas=/usr/lib/libblas.so --with-lapack=/usr/lib/liblapack.so
CPPFLAGS=-DLONGBLAS=long -DBLAS64 F77_INTEGER_8_FLAG=-fdefault-integer-8
And I get ...
checking BLAS library integer size... 8
Octave does execute, but just segfaults during the test build phase. I can
use the --gui, etc. I will go over my steps, but I believe this is a
legitimate bug and you have closed it in haste.
