Follow-up Comment #3, bug #59173 (project octave): Maybe not foolproof, but this might be a good place to start: octave --eval '__octave_config_info__ ()' | grep scratch It would be nice to do something similar for mkoctfile but I don't see an easy way. Incidentally, there is a message in the code that LFLAGS is to be removed in version 7.1.
