Follow-up Comment #11, bug #61704 (project octave): Here is some discussion on a similar issue: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/349150/gnu-octave-compilation-fails-with-libinterp-libs-liboctinterp-so-undefined-ref Perhaps it can give you some clues though it does not help me. nm returns "no symbols" I had the issue with magick long time ago when I first tried to build octave with libc++, but I cannot find this discussion.
