Follow-up Comment #1, bug #62877 (project octave):
Just found out that at the office (where most IT stuff is locked down) it does
work. Makes me wonder where to look to find out why it doesn't work
elsewhere.
Let's leave this open until I had a chance to experiment and find out more.
