Follow-up Comment #14, bug #46830 (project octave):

On a linux machine with 6 cores, matrices 8000x8000, octave 6.3.91 takes about
4 seconds for .* , using 1 core. matlab 2019a takes about 1.5 seconds, using
all the cores.
