Octave 8.2.0 Flatpack.

The file browser's directory does not sync with the working directory. Also
the file->open command does not open in the working directory. Previous
version had this functionality. In contrast if a file is already open (I have
Octave set to remember the last session) , file->save-as does open the dialog
in the correct directory.

Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.15.0-73-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics

Graphics Processor: RENOIR
