Follow-up Comment #16, bug#63752 (group octave):

I can not reproduce the crash in the OP but when closing Octave with the
experimental widget, I get an fatal error (signal 6). Please find attached a
patch that fixes the issue for me. As we are very close to the release
candidate I do not want to push it directly without tests on other systems.
