Follow-up Comment #2, bug #65408 (group octave):

Sorry I made a mistake.  It NOT A REGRESSION.

And its not about classdef, rather it happens when the input is undefined:

$ ./run-octave

>> methods foo
error: javaMethod: support for Java was unavailable or disabled when Octave
was built
error: called from
    methods at line 70 column 16


I cannot change the title but a better title might be:

  "methods something_undef" fails if no java support

Sorry for the noise.
