                  Status:         Patch Submitted => Ready For Test         
           Fixed Release:                    None => 9.1.0 (current stable)

Follow-up Comment #4:

I tried the patch.  It fixes the issue here, and 'make check' passes.  I
pushed the patch to stable so the release process can continue.  If a
different long term bug should be addressed that can be the subject of a new
bug report.
