Follow-up Comment #24, bug #65431 (group octave):

@Liang Tang: Not sure what you mean. The current behavior of Octave is
compatible to what is documented for Matlab. The patch emits a warning for
incompatible input.
I don't think we need to deviate from Matlab in this case. If you'd like to
set color values per vertex, use "FaceVertexCData" instead.
