Follow-up Comment #8, bug #65251 (group octave):
Could we revisit this for release 10?
May be Torsten can comment (if somebody can Cc to him).
Currently it possible to compie octave on linux '--without-x'
and ir would link all the Qt and GL libraries in, but will not start any gui.
How does it work on MacOS. There is no DISPLAY or anything
with CARBON in the environment, yet gui starts just fine.
