Octave 2.1.50 is now available for ftp from ftp.octave.org in the
directory /pub/octave/bleeding-edge:
-rw-r--r-- 1 506 103 4705965 Jun 27 19:24 octave-2.1.50.tar.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 506 103 3715690 Jun 27 19:24 octave-2.1.50.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 506 103 18306 Jun 27 19:41 octave-2.1.49-2.1.50.patch.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 506 103 17758 Jun 27 19:41 octave-2.1.49-2.1.50.patch.bz2
Because of the number of times that people report that Octave fails to
run because the libraries are not found when they install with
--enable-shared, I've made the default --enable-rpath "yes" instead of
"no", so you'll need to use --disable-rpath if you don't want the
location of the libraries encoded in the binary.
As always, if your favorite bug is still not fixed, please let me know
about it.
Thanks,
jwe
