CUDA Support for Octave

Hi all,

 

I am wondering if there are any projects for enabling CUDA to do computations directly from Octave itself. I am interested to implementing it and perhaps release a package for those who do have NVIDIA graphics card (that supports CUDA) and wish to take advantage of it. Currently it supports only float calculations (but this is due to change end of the year) and not too strict on the IEEE standards, but I think there will be some uses for some fast computation.
