IRC webchat

Well, Freenode still hasn't responded about this. However, I've
managed to contact the #octave channel founder, and he's given me
administrator privileges in the channel.  If you want to test drive
it, you have to answer the captcha and pick an IRC username:

You'll need a minimally modern browser with javascript for this to
work. If you prefer to use a different IRC client than this web
client, just point it to irc.freenode.net and /join #octave. If you
see JordiGH in there, that's me.

I know at least a few of you are not completely adverse to chat, since
I've chatted with you over Jabber.

What do you think about putting up the above link in Octave's
webpages, as an additional help avenue besides the mailing list? It
has the advantage of being faster and requires no setup other than
answering a captcha and providing a username. It has the disadvantage
that people are sometimes less thoughtful in IRC and flames, should
they occur, proceed much faster than over email.
