Thanks for the response, Michael. It's very helpful. I'm a 75 year old
mathematician, a numerical analyst of sorts. I can get along fine with Octave
3.2.3. I certainly don't want to continue wasting my time trying to install an
essentially Mac-incompatible version of Octave on my iMac.
