| There's actually a figure property for that: integerhandle. It's

OK, what is "correctly"? So
h = figure ('integerhandle', 'off')
set ('integerhandle', 'on')
renumbers the figure?
Should it be possible to do
waitbar (0.1, 'message', 'integerhandle', 'on');
?
