I haven't looked at the details of this report, but not every problem
should be fixed on stable, so if the decision was made that it should be
fixed on default and that was done, then I still consider the problem fixed.

Is there an Octave bug report for this one? I remember this problem
being discussed, so another possibility is that the Debian patch is
obsolete because the problem was fixed in some other way in Octave. I
see that we set the default font to "*" in graphics.h.in (graphics.in.h
on the default branch).

I thought the Texinfo 5 problems had already been fixed in Octave's sources.
