Also why did you add:

    FcPatternAddDouble (pat, FC_PIXEL_SIZE, lineheight);

This sounds wrong to me, you're requesting a font size == lineheight from FontConfig.

At one moment I get error and fix it by adding this line. It seems that error was something else. As you said that line is unnecessary.
