I'm trying to pull Kai's changes by either
hg pull http://inversethought.com/hg/octave-kai/
or
hg pull ssh://address@hidden/hg/repos/octave-kai
but this doesn't seem to be working, am I doing something wrong or is there
some problem with the repo?

It seems it was neither, but actually a network problem.
I have now been able to pull, "hg heads" gives me:
