Hi Asma,

with the attached patch, it should be ok. Can you change lsqcurvefit.m
accordingly before I commit?

Notes:

I had to remove much spurious whitespace. This clutters the patch and
possibly makes some more important changes difficult to see.

FunValCheck is not implemented by the backend, I removed it again from
lsqnonlin.m.

The rest should be apparent from the patch.
