Rik,
AFAICS This behaviour is only implemented in odeset and odeget, which have been
moved to core already.
I think it makes sense to remove those functions from the next release of
odepkg.
So with the next release of Octave and odepkg the syntax correction will
disappear from both Octave and Odepkg,
there is no need of other work to complete the transition.
