The first release candidate for the 4.4.1 bug-fixing release is now
available from ftp.alpha.org in the directory gnu/octave:
-rw-r--r-- 1 3003 3002 25583761 Jul 13 19:26 octave-4.4.1-rc1.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 3003 3002 19161651 Jul 13 19:26 octave-4.4.1-rc1.tar.lz
Once they are built, I'll make Windows installer files available in
the same directory.

There is a problem in building the documentation on cygwin 64bit
MAKEINFO doc/interpreter/octave.html/.octave-html-stamp
/usr/bin/texi2dvi: TeX neither supports -recorder nor outputs \openout
lines in its log file
make[2]: *** [Makefile:28003: doc/liboctave/liboctave.dvi] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
/usr/bin/texi2dvi: TeX neither supports -recorder nor outputs \openout
lines in its log file
make[2]: *** [Makefile:27891: doc/interpreter/octave.dvi] Error 1
Is it something changed from 4.4.0 release ?
$ texi2dvi --version
texi2dvi (GNU Texinfo 6.5) 7906
